New Zealand legislation now passed to increase the annual sick leave entitlement from 5 days a year to 10. This will come in effect from 24 July 2021. Now is a good time to check:
- that you are familiar with what the changes are
- that your payroll software will be ready for the changes
- your employment agreement leave clauses have the right wording
- what wording you should use for a variation to existing agreements (and consult with your HR provider).
